Resident Life

Our residents find support in each other, both within and among classes. People live all over Boston in different neighborhoods (including Back Bay, Jamaica Plain, and Brookline to name a few), and drive, bike, and sometimes run to work. Residents and their partners/families spend lots of time together outside the hospital, with lots of team dinners, trivia nights, drinks with the labor floor nurses, or just an esplanade picnic. We find lots of reasons to celebrate including birthdays, baby showers, weddings and even just the end of a rotation block!

It is important for all in the program to foster a sense of community in the residency. These four years are a crucial time in the lives of our residents, and it is important to all of us the residents have the support that they’ll need in order to succeed as a doctor but also to thrive as a person.
